Privacy Policy
This policy describes the personal data collected by WeSeeYouu, why, who receives it, and your rights (GDPR, Apple App Privacy, Google Play Data Safety).

We do not sell your data. We do not use an advertising identifier for targeting. Face ID and the app lock stay on the device. We do not receive your biometrics.
Private messages and code-gated rooms are stored to run the service. They are not end-to-end encrypted.
3. Cookies
These pages (weseeyouu-legal.vercel.app) set no cookies, no trackers, and no audience measurement. Nothing is read before a choice: there is no banner, because there is nothing to accept.
The mobile app is not a browser. The session is a token kept in the device store, not a cookie. If a non-essential cookie is added later, it will be set only after consent, and this page will be updated first.
4. How we collect
- From you: sign-up, profile, proofs, alerts, messages, page applications.
- Automatically: technical logs. Location, camera, microphone, and notifications only if you allow them.
- Processors: authentication, storage, push, live video (see §6).
5. Purposes and legal bases
- Contract: account, feed, map, messages, lives, pages.
- Legitimate interest: security, abuse prevention, running the service.
- Legal obligation: requests from authorities when the law requires it.
- Consent: device permissions, and acceptance of the terms at sign-up (age 15 or older).
6. Recipients
- AWS Cognito — authentication
- AWS — storage and infrastructure
- Apple (APNs) and Google (FCM) — notifications if enabled
- LiveKit — live audio and video
A proof posted to the feed or the map is visible to others according to the account and the post. We may disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect people and the service.
7. Transfers
Processing may take place in the European Union and elsewhere (AWS, Apple, Google, LiveKit). Where the GDPR requires it, appropriate safeguards are in place.
8. Retention
- Account: for the life of the account.
- Public proofs: until you remove them, moderation hides them, or the account is deleted.
- Messages: until they are erased (read, room timer, or account deletion).
- Push tokens: while the device stays registered.
- Technical logs: generally up to 90 days.
- After deletion: identity wiped; proofs hidden. Residual backups purged within 30 days.
9. Your rights
You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, and portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. No data protection officer is appointed: requests go to support@weseeyouu.app.
Email, password, and the age declaration are required to open an account. Without them, sign-up stops. Withdrawing consent (a device permission, or notifications) does not undo what was done before the withdrawal.
No decision with a legal effect is made by an algorithm alone. A red alert is approved by an association admin.
Revoke a permission in iOS Settings or Android Settings → Apps → WeSeeYouu. You may lodge a complaint with the CNIL or your local authority.
10. Account deletion
Settings → Delete account → type SUPPRIMER. Details on the dedicated page.
11. Security
Transport is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to data is limited to running the service. Report an incident to the contact address.
12. Minors
Sign-up starts at 15. We do not seek data from children under 15. Date of birth enforces that rule. Sexual content involving anyone under 18 is forbidden. See the child safety standards.
13. Report and block
The feed and profiles let you report and block. Content rules are in the terms of use.
14. Permissions

15. Stores
App Privacy and Data Safety list the same categories: account, posted content, location if allowed, notification tokens, technical data. They must stay aligned with this page.
16. Changes
The date at the top changes with each update. A material change may be announced in the app or by email.
